Has anyone else had a platue after 2 weeks?  I am in my 4th week post op and I have lost 21 lbs. in the first 2 weeks and nothing since???  I am confused since I get all of my protein in, all of my vitamins in and all of my water in and I walk 2 miles everyday and still nothing???  Has this ever happened to anyone else, or is there something wrong?   Thanks for your help,  Donna

Keep up the har work, ou're doing fine.  Your body needs a rest when it cranks that fast.  21 lbs is wonderful but the body has to take a breath befor heading down again.   Someone once likened it to going down a flight of stairs.  ou travel don for a bit, then you hit a landing.  No worries, you'll start losing again soon.  Just keep doing what you're doing.

Seriously Donna you are doing nothing wrong. Your body dumped a whole lot of weight right off the top and it is in shock. It wants to hold on to everything because it thinks you are starving your body. No worries, just keep doing what you are doing and your weight will start coming off again....just don't freak...every body reacts different!!!

Congrats on your surgery and your new lifestyle! Ginger

I agree with Jan and Janine..  You are doing great, don't freak, it is normal...   You will see that you will be losing again in no time.. Everyone's body is different, you can't go by what everyone else did, you have to do what is right for your body..  So take a deep breath, and relax, it is all going to be alright...

Big Hugs,
Jenn

Funny you should mention this....Don't sweet it. You need to look at stall or platues are a natural part of the process.  Frustrating but actually very normal.

Donna,

21 lbs in 2 weeks, that's huge, that's 11.5 lbs per week which is a lot.  Your body needs to plateau a little and it will crank up again. Thats great!  Don't despair it will happen.

Congrats.

Stalls happen to everyone at various times in their journey.  As long as you're doing what you're suppose to be - don't worry abou it.

Think about it this way - when is the last time you lost 21 pounds over a 4-week period?

You're doing great!
- Patty
